Mark your calendar for other upcoming Wine Circle events on these Thursday evenings, 5:30-7pm in the Conservatory: August 12: Introduction to Wine Making Whether you are interested in making your own wine or just understanding more about the process that turns grapes into the elixir of the Gods, Chef Christopher Bates' "Introduction to Wine Making" will cover the basic principles as well as the logistics and practicalities of making wine at home. September 9: Wine 101 Back by popular demand, Wine 101 starts with the basics and provides a solid introductory foundation for wine enthusiasts. Participation isn't limited to novices, though, Wine 101 is also a great chance for more knowledgeable oenophiles to refresh their knowledge as well as bring friends with whom they want to share the love of the grape. November: Special Focus on Red Varietals If it is autumn, it is time to review your reds and there's no better place to start than with Chef Christopher Bates' special session focused on red varietals. All Wine Circle events are $35 per person and include light hors d'oeuvres and, of course!, wine as well as great company and an interesting and educational program.
