Wine Circle Tasting: Spain is at the forefront of a gastronomic revolution. With both its food and wine scene, Spain is in a unique situation — with centuries of history and tradition on one hand, and a youth that is so intent on modernization on the other. This gave way to the molecular gastronomy tidal wave led by Ferran Adria that has swept the culinary world. In addition, Spain’s winemakers will not be left behind. In a country with some of the most unique traditional styles, modernists have looked to distance themselves from these traditionalists at all costs. This class will brief you on the differences between these two camps, and through tasting will demonstrate how this affects the wines we taste. The diversity of Spanish wines will be displayed as you taste sparkling wines, fortified wines, dry white -- both light and rich, as well as reds -- both traditional and modern.
Wine Circle Dinner: A Dinner will follow the tasting. A large table will be set for guests to join Sommelier Jacob Kiel for a 4-course dinner with a selection of Spanish wines to bring the class to the table and show you how these wines will work with food.

Wine Circle Tasting: Cabernet Sauvignon is often referred to as the most noble of grape varieties. Whether from its home in Bordeaux or any of the many places it has landed around the world, such as Napa Valley, the Maipo, Coonawara or Tuscany, Cabernet Sauvignon has proven its ability to produce world-class wines in a range of climates. With this tasting we are offering an opportunity to experience some of the world's most important and influential Cabernet Sauvignons. Some of the headliners will include Chateaux Montelena, a winery largely responsible for putting the new world, and Napa Valley, on the wine map; Rauzan Segla, a second growth Margaux with 15 years of bottle age; and Don Melchor, South America’s most famous rendition.
