The Columns Museum

The Columns Museum, operated by the Pike County Historical Society, is housed in a Neo-Greek Revival mansion and showcases a fine collection of art, artifacts and ephemera from generations of ancestors, with a special focus on Pike County and the surrounding areas. Exhibits include the famous “bloody Lincoln Flag,“ which is believed to have cushioned the dying president’s head after he was shot at Ford’s Theater in April of 1865. Grey Towers National Historic Site

Grey Towers is the ancestral home of Gifford Pinchot, first chief of the US Forest Service and twice Governor of Pennsylvania. House and garden tours are offered every day from Memorial Day weekend through October 31. Natural resource related groups also use the newly renovated facilities for conferences and meetings. Self-guided tour commemorates Milford's founding father, John Biddis : The Historic Preservation Trust of Pike County
Take a leisurely stroll through the Historic District of Milford. In just 20 blocks you will discover more than 50 Victorian buildings of architectural and historic significance, circa 1814-1914. All are listed on the National Register of Historic Places and feature a variety of Victorian styles including Gothic, Italianate, Second Empire and Queen Anne. You may pick up a tour map at the Hotel Fauchère reception desk.
Near historic Milford : Zane Grey Museum

Home of the "Father of the Western Novel" sits along the banks of the Upper Delaware River. Zane Grey lived in Lackawaxen, Pennsylvania, from 1905 until 1918. Lackawaxen always held a special place in his memories, and was chosen as the site of his final resting place. "Through Art to Nature" —Founded in 2002 at Grey Towers National Historic Site in Milford, PA, by Nancy Pinchot and Yosif Feigelson, Kindred Spirits Arts Programs sees its goal in awakening, through music and art, a greater appreciation of the beauty and value of Nature by presenting established and emerging artists in musical and other events in a variety of settings, including collaborative ventures with educational and arts organizations. Special emphasis is placed on bringing performances to children in the schools.

Festival of Wood - August 8-9

A celebration of our regions natural and cultural heritage of wood. The festival features crafts made from wood, workshops and films about wood. Artisans throughout the regions exhibit, sell and demonstrate their crafts, bringing samples of furniture, boxes and sculpture. Music and childrens activities occur throughout the day.
Milford Music Festival - June 6-7
The Milford Music Festival features a full spectrum of artists, both internationally renowned and emerging musicians. The festival celebrates the diversity of music and performance during one complete weekend. Through the generosity of our sponsors, the Milford Music Festival is free to the public.
